| The Republic of Kazakhstan is located in the heart of the Eurasian Continent. Kazakhstan, with almost 3,000,000 km2. is the ninth biggest country in the world. People of Kazakhstan are friendly, warm and inviting. This Democratic Republic is one of the safest countries of Central Asia, and you can find all the first rate services in Astana and Almaty, the new and ancient capitals of Kazakhstan.it is the 9th bigger country in the world, and a paradise for mountain hunters who are looking for -in addition of a big trophy- a lifetime adventure.
The most important population of wild marals in the world lives in Kazakhstan, from the Tian Shan to Altai ranges. Some trophies can weigh more than 16/17 kg. We run 3 different base camps close the famous Dzungarian Alatau mountains… Marals live from 2000 to 2500 m. altitude; the hunting method is horseback and stalking hunting from base camps. Usually hunters spent 5 or 6 overnights in mountains with tents. Local guides call marals and try to spot big trophies during the mating time. We have 3 different base camps, all of them located in Dzungarian Alatau range, close to the China border, and near the National Park. The average weight of the last 3 years is 12,5 kg. In addition, the same area have a big population of mid-Asian ibex and some outstanding trophies of more than 120 cm. Is it possible to combine both species from the same camp. Due to the large experience of Pyrenean Outfitters in this amazing country, we are able to offer you the finest hunting in Kazakhstan. We have experienced local guides, modern lodges and wood cabins with saunas, and the best hunting places. An English-speaking professional hunter will be with you during the entire trip. He will welcome you at the airport and will take care of all documents, transportation, and logistics. He will assist and act as a middle-man between you and local guides to ensure the success of your hunting. After harvesting your trophy, PO will offer you a sightseeing tour in Almaty, the possibility of visiting some hunting stores and having a meal at national cuisine restaurants. We recommend you for this hunting 7 – 8 mm calibers with good optics and ballistic turret. Often, the shooting distance is more than 400 yards. Calibers like 300 WM, WSM and Weatherby are perfect for this hunting. |

| Our 3 base camps are located 14 hours-drive from Almaty international airport. From 2019, there is a domestic flight from Almaty to Usharal who economize 8 hours-drive. Once you book your trip, our local outfitter will book the fly ticket for you in a comfortable and modern 24 places aircraft. |
Trip plan
| Day 1: Flight from your country to Almaty, overnight in aircraft.
Day 2: Arrival to Almaty early in the morning. Domestic flight to Usharal and ground transfer to base camp. Day 3 to 9: Maral hunting (add two more days for combo maral-ibex) Day 10: Transfer to Almaty. Overnight in hotel (not included in price) Day 11: Fly home. |
Lodging
| The main camp is a cabin wood with collective bedrooms for 4 hunters and a living room. All our camps are equipped with sauna and outside toilet. The meals are generous and tasty. The hunters will spend the first night in the main camp and probably will come back each 3-4 nights for rest and take supplies. Then, overnights in tents with the support of horses, 1 guide and 1 assistant per hunter. We provide tents, but if you have a light and comfortable one, we recommend bringing your own. |

possible combinations
After harvesting your maral, and depending of the hunting area, it is possible to hunt ibex, wolf and Siberian roe deer. We can also organize a Siberian roe deer extended trip in one of the best areas near Almaty. Ask us for an additional budget.
Additional information
Advanced payment (30% of full amount) should be wired at the time of booking. The remainder 60 days before the hunting trip.
